Weekly Events

During the semester, there are many different opportunities at St. Paul’s available to graduate students and young professionals.  Here’s a sampling of some of the regular semester programming:

Sundays-Wednesdays – Bible studies

  • Join one of our grad student and young professional Bible studies this semester!  Bible studies meet Sunday-Wednesday at various times to accommodate busy schedules. Visit the Current Calendar tab or contact Shileng for more information: syang@uwcatholic.org.

Thursdays, 7:00PM, Newman Hall – Mustard Seed

  • Join us for our weekly graduate student and young professional large group gathering!  On Thursdays during the semester, join us in Newman Hall (basement, below the chapel) for a speaker on a topic relevant to the Catholic faith along with socializing and fellowship.  Topics in the past have included: the Blessed Virgin Mary, the Communion of Saints, “Living our Faith on Campus and in the Workplace”, marriage, and the list goes on!  Mustard Seed resumes for the second semester on Thursday, January 23rd!
  • Each week, you can join us before Mustard Seed for food, socializing, and fellowship during Newman Dinner, 6-7 pm. The cost is only $3.

March 7-9 at Wincliff (on the shore of Lake Michigan) – Grad Student/Young Professional Spring Retreat!

  • Escape the busyness of Madison and come with us to a beautiful lakeside home for our weekend spring retreat!  Spend the weekend getting to know your peers, relaxing, and drawing near to Jesus through talks, fellowship, prayer, and the Mass.  Registration will open in early February – for now, contact Shileng for more information: syang@uwcatholic.org.

Other events include social gatherings, service opportunities, and events hosted by the Diocese of Madison for young adults.
